DIY: How to Make Rice Powder & Rice Powder Mask-Scrub

Hello, DIY Mask -Home Recipes- lovers💕. DIY Rice Powder Mask-Scrub.

Happy Monday everyone! I have been using the wishful skin scrub for a while now trying it on to give you my honest opinion about it. Meanwhile, I realized that the scrub felt like something I used to use back in time in Morroco. So, today’s post is about a DIY Rice powder and a DIY rice powder mask-Scrub.

If you have used the Yo glow scrub, you’d know that once you start to apply it on the skin, it feels like rice. That’s the reason why I decided to share with you this Rice Powder Mask-Scrub DIY.

I have first introduced to rice powders via Dermalogica’s Daily Microfoliant, and let’s be honest… It costs $55 for 2.6oz even if I spend a lot of money over skincare I still believe that is something we can make ourselves and way cheaper since you find rice in each kitchen -unless you are not a rice fan-.

Luckily, rice powder masks & scrubs DIY are super easy and cheap to make at home.

Before starting I invite you to read my latest DIY review.

Rice Powder DIY:

First, How to make your Rice Powder:
If you are lazy -not like me- you can buy it from Amazon (or buy rice flour from Amazon, Bob’s Red Mill sells a pack of 4 for about $11).

I usually don’t determine how much I am using, I make a lot and I keep it in my room. If you are someone who likes to determine how much rice powder you would like to make: (1 cup of rice will make 1 cup of powder).

This is a little hack if you are putting your rice in a blender. When the blender is doing his job, it starts to overheat. This will denature the rice enzymes when you grind it. This is the main reason I recommend putting your rice 30 min in the freezer before blending it.

I first used a trusted blender to make 2-3 pulses until the rice started to look more like a powder. Then I walked from medium to high for about 30 seconds.
I found it necessary to grind the rice flour into a fine powder. However, it can also heat the rice flour quickly. Therefore, please perform the last step slowly, especially if your blender may have different settings.
You can mix more at any time!

Pour the rice flour into the container of your choice. You can use the rice noodles as they are-just pour some rice noodles into your palm and mix with water.

DIY Rice Powder Mask-Scrub:

Rice powder -floor-have been used by women around the world for thousands of years to enhance their beauty and clarity of the skin. In Japan, it often used it to maintain soft porcelain tones and prevent pigmentation, exposure to ultraviolet rays and aging, while looking delicate, feminine and refined. Today, you can still get many benefits of rice noodles in daily beauty. There are many ways to use it, and making white rice at home is very simple.

The benefits of rice powder:

  • We must admit that it’s a very good as a primer for cosmetics (just brush it in a thin layer and then apply makeup)
  • As a foundation powder for makeup
  • Reduce gloss Absorb excess oil
  • Treat acne
  • Facial scrub
  •  Facial mask (mixed and used in facial clay)
  • Reduce inflammation
  • Continuous use can make the skin white (including stubborn pigmentation and other dark spots)

Now that we’ve made the powder, what I do is that I add two ingredients:
– Honey

The benefits of Milk:

  • Great Moisturizer
  • Soothes Sunburned and Inflamed Skin
  • Lighten Tans and Skin Tone
  • Exfoliates Skin Cells

The benefits of Honey:

  • Moisturizes the skin deeply
  • Acts as a Pore Cleanser
  • Gentle Exfoliator
  • Lightens Scars
  • Useful in Sunburn
  • Fights Acne & Pimples
  • Reverses Age
  • Hydrates the Skin
  • Helps Reduces Wrinkles
  • Brightens Skin Complexion

As you can see we mix everything together until the mixture becomes a kind of thick enough to put as a face mask on your face.

I keep for about 15 mins, and once I need to clean I use warm water and I gently wash away in circular motions.
