Selena gomez rare beauty review

Review – I tried Selena Gomez’s makeup line : rare beauty 2021

Hello guys, I am back ( hopefully for a while hahaha), anyways, Rare beauty finally arrived at Sephora in France. I waited for the gold sell to go buy some of the products, but I have been using eyeliner for a while now. I love Selena Gomez, so to be honest, I was a bit influenced to try some products of her new line.

Scroll down for my rare beauty review!

Selena Gomez’s cosmetics brand Rare Beauty is launched with the intent of breaking free from the unrealistic shackles of perfection dictated by today’s beauty world, and on social media ( especially I would say ). Rare Beauty products advocate self-expression on a daily basis. Lightweight and breathable, their feel-good formulas glide on to provide adjustable coverage and give our face a fresh look to reveal your authentic beauty.

As you all know Selena Gomez struggled with mental health service, so one percent of the brand’s annual sales will go directly to the Rare Impact Fund.

My signature makeup is having eyeliner on, I like it dark, easy to apply, and to hold. When the brand was launched in Sephora France, I purchased the eyeliner. I loved how it felt, the color, how easy it was to apply and a few weeks later she launched the mascara so I ended up hauling a couple more products.

My lastest review đź’ś

Rare Beauty – First Impression & Haul :

First things first, the packaging. LOVE IT! I think we all admit that the packaging is super cute. Some products have around lid-shape at the top, which is intended to help people with arthritis. The prices are affordable, I think the most expensive product is the eyeshadow palette: 33€.

Here is my Rare Beauty review and haul:

Perfect Strokes Matte Liquid Liner

Say hello to my new and maybe forever eyeliner. I really didn’t need another eyeliner hahaha yet this one got my eye and since my makeup signature is the eyeliner I HAD TO.

I absolutely love the sleek packaging for the liner; however, I travel a lot, and putting it in my makeup travel bag, with all the other products actually damaged it. The tube broke, but the product inside is still fine, didn’t dry or slide.

The tip is my all-time favorite, I feel like it matches perfectly my eyes’s shape. I just slide the eyeliner on my eyelids and voila I am ready to go. Since the packaging is like a pencil it’s so easy to hold and apply, it has a beautiful matte finish, and lasts all day.

Stay Vulnerable Glossy Lip Balm

This glossy lip balm has this unique packaging: a tube with one flat side. The gloss comes with a doe-foot wand applicator with a tapered point tip.

This collection comes in 5 shades: from a nude to a berry tone, that will match with all the others in the collection and suit every skin tone. There should be a color to suit every skin tone but maintain a natural look. The shade I purchased is:

Nearly Berry – This shade is a beautiful berry, dark purple shade. I actually expected it to be a bit darker, yet on my lips, it’s on the pink side. The gloss is easy to apply, not sticky and when you clean it, it leaves a beautiful pinky color on your lips. The formula is very creamy and has no shimmers. For me, this is a match to the Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil in the shade Berry.

Lip Soufflé Matte Cream Lipstick

If you know me, you know that I love matte lipsticks. When I first purchased them I didn’t see the “cream” part and I was a bit disappointed because I like matte stay all-day lips. Good news this one will definitely leave your lips soft and not dry.

I purchased the shades Daring and Inspire. I really love the colors especially the Inspire one ( it’s a beautiful orangy-red ). However, when it comes to Daring I don’t like formula just because I feel like it’s not opaque enough. As you can see in the picture below the mauvy one is a bit show throw and I hate that.

In terms of long-lasting, it does last all day, not visible transfer while eating or wearing my mask. It feels like you are wearing nothing and I love that feeling.

Perfect Strokes Universal Volumizing Mascara

I have like a million mascaras at home, so I went for the travel size ( because why not ). The brush is fluffy, which reminds me of the Go Big or Go Home Volumizing Mascara of Kat Von D. Since the brush is big it helps to grab individual lashes and ensure each one is coated in mascara.

The formula itself is super black, I’d say buildable but not too much, it may get cakey if you abuse it a bit. I love this mascara because you don’t need a lot to see the effect of it, and it makes your lashes thicker and longer with a first swipe. , so you can really punch up the volume. As soon as I took the wand out of the tube, I got excited because the brush style is one of my favorites.

Is Rare beauty worth buying?

For me it’s a big YES, if you want to change all the makeup for Rare Beauty, I’d say hell YEAH. I think for the price & quality it’s worth it. I am always septic when it comes to celebrity makeup brands, but Selena Gomez really worked on it: from the formula to the details of the packaging, bravo 🎉.

It’s time to say goodbye. I hope you enjoyed this review.
See you soonđź’•
