Sephora Collection Best Skin Ever Foundation Discovery 💜
Hello lovers, How are you doing? I am back at you with a new makeup review, I feel like I have moods, sometimes I just do makeup reviews and others, skincare ones. I feel like there is a lot of new makeup releases, and I found this one very interesting because it’s all over my social media. Sephora Collection just launched its newest baby: Sephora Collection Best Skin Ever foundation I have a very hard taste when It comes to these two. So I had to try them out.
The new Sephora Collection Best Skin Ever foundation instantly gives you a flawless complexion with an ultra-natural finish. With its second-skin texture and adjustable coverage, it evens out skin tone, smoothes skin texture, and hides imperfections. Long-lasting, the complexion remains perfect until the evening.
That sounds very interesting is the fact that this new foundation is for everyone. It is suitable for all skin types. It is available in 48 shades so that everyone can find the one that suits them.
Let’s try out this Sephora Collection’s Best Skin Ever
First Impression on the Sephora Collection Best Skin Ever foundation:
As always, we will start with the packaging. I think it’s cute. I mean it looks like a foundation very basic. BUT, a big 10 for Sephora because the packaging is an eco-designed one. WE LOVE IT; because they actually think environment. As you can see from my pictures, I didn’t buy the product. I tried the sample I received in one of my orders because I must say this is the best way to try a foundation or concealer. I mean, why would you invest in a whole foundation when you can actually try the sample and then judge if yes or no it suits you?
From my first swatch, the foundation looks a bit thick. I feel like it oxidizes a bit, and it dries super fast. Doesn’t smell too strong. Unfortunately, the colors that were sent to me were too dark. But, I used them anyway. The foundation applies pretty nicely on the skin, you actually don’t feel like you have something on your skin. To be honest, I love the feeling of not feeling like you have something on your face.
Throughout the day, the formula of the Sephora Collection Best Skin Ever foundation is rich in anti-pollution algae extracts and natural-source hyaluronic acid, which can moisturize the skin for 12 hours and play a role in resisting external aggressions (blue light, pollution…). To be honest, my skin was looking glowy after applying it, and I wore it for about 10 hours. I only took it out before I sleep, so I really put it through the test. My skin had no dry areas, even around my pimples, so I do think it keeps your skin moisturized.
They also said that, even without makeup, the skin becomes more beautiful. Clinically proven: to reduce signs of fatigue and stress. The skin is smoother, more even, and more radiant. I haven’t tried it for more than one day, so I can’t say if it’s true or not. Yet I have an opinion on this: A foundation no matter how light it is, will block your pores, and have some effects on the skin. So clinically proven or not, I just don’t believe it and I do NOT recommend you to wear foundation every day.
I don’t like this foundation, simply because if you have under skin imperfections it will definitely highlight them too much that you will hate your skin. I also noticed that it did crease on some areas, such as around my nose. The bright side is that it’s very lightweight, you don’t really feel it, BUT when I hear Best Skin Ever foundation, I think of a second skin: a foundation that you don’t really see. Yet, take a look at the picture below. You can definitely see, from miles away that I am wearing something and I hate it.
Like I said before, I wore it the whole day and It got old pretty good. As you can see in the picture below, around my nose area I lost a bit of product because of the mask, around my eyes it’s creasing a bit ( and I used the foundation and added on top the concealer Best Skin Ever). Unfortunately for this test, I had pimples on my skin, and we must say it hardly covers my pimples and it has a satin finish that I don’t like on my skin, moreover it’s not imperceptible you can see the texture of the foundation quite a bit. Wearing it all day the foundation migrated, made patches in some places, and made me shiny (despite the fact that I double fixed it with the pore-fessional super setter from benefit and added Laura Mercier foundation on top).
Is it worth buying?
I say it’s not worth buying and I don’t like it. We must admit that’s a good foundation. There is a lot to criticize about it. Since it’s a hydrating one, I definitely think that people with oily skin will hate it, because you will see oil building-up during the day. They say it’s a buildable foundation, I don’t think so because it gets cakey very fast.
It’s time to say goodbye. I hope you enjoyed this review.
See you soon💕
