The latest Luxéol lashes release

Luxéol eyelash serum growth booster Discovery 💜

Hello lovers,

Today the review is about a none expensive lash booster from a quite known brand in France: Luxeol.

The Luxéol brand has put all its hair expertise at the service of the eyes by developing a new formula dedicated to lash growth. A growth booster with a liner tip, Luxéol Lash Serum increases the length and density of lashes.

From what I read on the site, this lash serum contains the X10-Lash complex, made from millet, wheat, sunflower, and rosemary.

I don’t know if you knew but many eyelash serums including very known brands actually, use a slightly disturbing molecule, Prostaglandin (or its derivatives). And this molecule is believed to cause some of the side effects, such as iris coloration or pigment spots on the eyelids. This serum doesn’t contain any, luckily.

So let’s jump in.

My latest review:

First Impression:

Well from where to start. This is a small product with a huge price of 4ml – 39,90€. I know it was gifted to me, but damn that’s expensive. This got me thinking, that if it doesn’t work it’s like throwing money out of the window right?

Lucky the brand always has a code. I have one also that I will link at the end of this article if you are interested in buying the lash serum or any other product. Works just fine with all the website.

You know me now for quite a bit, the first thing I examine is the packaging. Once again keep in mind that this product costs 40€ and when you look at the packaging it looks like it’s worth 5€. I mean I started with a really bad impression of this product, to be honest with you guys.

However, the small brush is very useful for the lashes, nothing to say about that. The product also comes with a small book, that shows all the products of the brand which I find cool, and useful if you want to buy other things.

The serum should be shaken well before use and applied twice a day on the base of the upper and lower lashes for 2 months.

Reality:

I tried this serum the minute I received it, I was super excited about it. Since I started work I use mascara every day. This made me lose my long lashes. I did it and then when to cook. Weirdly, my eyes started to water and to hurt. Exactly like when you cut onions. I thought it was the boiling water so I went to clean my eyes.

A few hours later, I did it again. It was about 09:00 PM. I was about to go sleep, I had the same burning feeling in my eyes. So, I went again to clean my eyes and slept. The next morning, while having my breakfast, and I started reading the composition.

This is the composition of this product: Aqua, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetearyl Glucoside, Cetearyl Alcohol, Panicum Miliaceum Seed Extract, Benzyl Alcohol, Cellulose Gum, Gluconolactone, Dicaprylyl Ether, Sodium Benzoate, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil, Decyl Glucoside, Glyceryl Oleate, Triticum Vulgare Seed Extract, Citric Acid, Benzoic Acid, Calcium Gluconate, Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract.

I don’t know if this one product hit you, but I was a bit surprised. Overall many of the components are fine, but the BENZYL ALCOHOL is quite disturbing. This is an eye product so I don’t understand why does it contain it.

Benzyl alcohol is not dangerous or toxic to the skin. However, it is on the list of 26 allergens and is potentially irritating and allergenic. The Material Data Safety Sheet (MSDS) on benzyl alcohol states that it is irritating to the skin and may cause redness and pain as well as eye irritation. Prolonged or repeated contact can cause allergic contact dermatitis. It also warns that it may be toxic to the liver and central nervous system.

This review will unfortunately stop here because I didn’t try it out more than twice. And I will definitely not take the risk to actually do and hurt my eyes.

Is it worth buying?

I say NO. BIG NONO GIRL. But at the end of the day, if you don’t care, or give importance to the INCI list you can give it a try. Maybe it’s an amazing product. But I will never put my health over a product.

This is my promo code: SKINFITSS. This gives you a -20% discount on all luxeol.com website.
